EXPERIENCE:
Mr. Ortwerth has more than 30 years of experience in engineering consulting and management in construction materials testing and inspection services in the Houston Metro Area including two container yards (one using an on-site laboratory to perform testing of construction materials) and multiple smaller projects for the Port of Houston. His experience includes setting up multiple on-site labs to economically meet specific project needs and in managing construction materials testing and inspection services on large projects in the Houston area including: Reliant Stadium and Exposition Center, Enron Center South and the Harris County Criminal Justice Center. On each of these projects, Mr. Ortwerth managed multiple firms assigned by the owner to provide a cohesive team in providing quality services to the Project Management Team and Owner. Mr. Ortwerth has extensive experience in materials consultation, testing and inspection of excavation, fill and backfill, soil stabilization, installation of tie-backs and retention systems, concrete, wood and steel piling including load testing, masonry, waterproofing, reinforcing steel, large mat placements, high strength and normal strength concrete, roller compacted concrete, fabrication and erection of structural steel, curtain wall, roofing and pavements.
